CBL Drinks launches ‘No S**** Science’ campaign
CBL Drinks has launched a new campaign for its flavoured-water brand, Perfectly Clear. The campaign is called ‘No S**** Science’ and is led by a straight-talking, anti-sugar ‘scientist’.
The sugar-free flavoured spring water, has positioned itself as a frontrunner in the soft drinks market over the last year due to its offering of a great tasting, zero sugar alternative to competitor sugar-filled drink brands. And with the recent government budget announcement to introduce a sugar tax on the drinks industry, it is a perfect time for the brand to demand recognition.
The campaign has kicked off with a new TV advert filmed earlier this year in the region’s National Glass Centre by TV and video production company, Shine North, promoting the product’s ‘Zero Sugar: Genius Taste’.
Commenting on the production Alex Connock, Managing Director at Shine North, said: “We had a fantastic time deriving the Perfectly Clear ‘scientist’ concept and turning that into the video which has launched the campaign. The initial feedback has been great so far so we’re excited to see what happens with the brand over the coming months.”
Speaking about the campaign launch, Mark Bell, Operations Director at CBL Drinks said: “With the brand growing from strength-to-strength and at a time when sugar content in drinks is a national concern, it is the perfect time to elevate the brand and highlight its sugar-free benefits.
“We have invested heavily into the brand over the last 18-months with additions to the range, packaging reformats and investment into the production at the Sunderland factory with new machinery.
“It was great to film our advert at the local National Glass Centre as it was perfect for the advert background and props! We’re all extremely excited about the year ahead with the increased campaign activity set to continue throughout 2016.”
